Daily musings #579 - Tuesday, 23 August 2022
Writing a daily blog most days at the last minute is an exercise in futility. Today, as I sat down to write, Substack went down.
It seemed to be a DNS problem in Cloudflare which got fixed in about fifteen minutes but the thought of not writing and breaking a persistent chain was harrowing causing unnecessary stress and tension. Or a reconciliation to self that a break of one day is okay and to accept it and move on.
I was wondering all along why I could not have prewritten posts for several days ahead that might have mitigated this problem. Yes, prescheduled posts might still have problems, but not because of something that I could do about it. That decision and action would have been taken out of my hands.
That is the way problems teach you things. Things that proactively one does not learn. Or learn easily. And today I did. Reactively. Hopefully, I have a proactive response to it. From now on. Hallelujah. I did get a post out of it today. Peace out.
