We had been enjoying spring-ish weather over the last few weeks with the highs slowly rising into the mid and upper teens. And then came one final wallop of 6 inches of snow overnight on April 21st dumping snow all over the Greater Toronto Area.
The news and the weather networks of course complained of the change in weather. I had no problem’s with the snowstorm, but defining it as “unexpected”, “out-of-pattern” or “freaky”. But the weather doesn’t care. These are our wants that we attribute from our expectations on what things should be. But “things”, just behave and be whatever they want to be.
If only we refrain from our “expectations”, “wants and needs” and accept things as they are, then we end up enjoying every day at its very best. Which is what I did. I enjoyed the “freaky” snow day seeing the snowmelt and disappear quickly by the evening to a point that made me wonder whether the spectacle I saw in the morning was real or was just a figment of my imagination.
