Yesterday I spent time going around Barcelona. And it was Gaudi country. The artist and his work are everywhere. His specific approach could be boiled down into a few elements - a plethora of colors, the use of chipped mosaics in patterns, and his use of shapes inspired by nature and things you see in your natural environment.
Hundreds of buildings designed by Gaudi were everywhere. And of course, we visited his best work Park Guell abound.
Interestingly my whole stay during my trip to Spain was to Reus, a sleepy small town in the Tarragona province where Gaudi was born and grew up before he moved to Barcelona and was recognized for his work there.
