Christmas and New Year season has been foggy, muggy, and rainy. With a little bit of snow thrown in on New Year’s Eve and overnight into the New Year.
On Christmas day we had severe fog in Burlington and it was present most of the hour each way we drove to drop off visiting relatives in Niagara Falls station across the border to take a train. It took enormous focus to keep an eye on the road and objects on the road ahead while driving at highway speeds. It was quite an experience in concentration and focus.
Talking of quiet, quiet is quite hard for me. Taking some time off during the holiday season I reached a point where the quiet and the slowdown was getting to me. I was glad to get back to work today and that is saying something.
The weather has definitely changed in the last couple of years from what it used to be over the last couple of decades we have been observing it. Last year we had nearly two weeks of no sunshine in the early days of January. This year the cloud and fog cover started earlier and has been persisting so far for nearly ten days. Welcome to Global Warming. Perhaps.
