Daily musings #593 - Tuesday, 6 September 2022
Technology is a forest. And too often we fail to see trees. And even more often, we *only* see trees.
We often focus on functionalities, appearance, and on the pure technical sophistication of what we produce. We mistake evolution for progress.
We should be focusing on simplicity (as much complexity as necessary, but no more), speed, and elegance.
My goal is to use the experience I've gained in various organizations to forge a better path forward.

I connect to a curated set of people on LinkedIn that help me perpetuate my biases by connecting with people who are similarly biased. To around 5,250 of them now. But in these years there are only a few profile writeups that have stood out to me. Artie’s writeup extracted from his profile is one of them. Now he has made me challenge myself to write something better about who I am and what I do.
Thanks, Artie for triggering me. Your succinct and distinct write-up is worth its weight in gold. (pun intended)
