This is race weekend again for Formula 1. And this week the race is on Ferrari’s (and AlphaTuari’s) home ground - the Imola racetrack in Monza, Italy.
It is Saturday and I was watching the Sprint qualification event and the commentators were talking about the two Sainz’s - Sainz Sr. the rally driver and his son Carlos Sainz Jr. who now drives his second season for Ferrari. The Jr. Sainz has inculcated excellent schooling from his dad and often uses the phrase “turn the page” as did his father.
There was something for us to learn from it for all of us. All we have to do is to substitute the word “Formula 1” with “Life” instead and it makes for good reading.
“Formula 1 is a continuous test, so you have to know how to turn the page, whether good or bad. I learned very well never to celebrate how good I am one day and then get depressed when something goes wrong the next.”
— Carlos Sainz Sr., Rally driver
“Life indeed is a continuous test, so you have to know how to turn the page, whether good or bad. Learn very well never to celebrate how good you are one day and then get depressed when something goes wrong the next.”
