I completed my cardio rehab program today. And they gave me a certificate of excellence, and that’s the funny part. What excellence, I certainly know not, but it is a journey for sure.
The whole process over the last 3 months helped me overcome my motivation issues towards exercise, and helped me set a structure to it. It also helped me to push my heart rate to a higher level in a safe environment than in my home gym.
There was also a repeat treadmill test which predicted my chances of a cardiac event at 5% in 5 years and 10% in 10 years and this is in line with the general population averages in my age group with or without current cardiac problems. And that is supposedly good. But one never knows what one goes through as we are not our probabilities.
But yet, I did get a certificate of excellence today along with a gold star and no one can take it away from me.
Congratulations! Good to hear!
