Twice a year I hit allergy season as the weather changes. This happens in April-May and then again in August-September. And one of the symptoms of it is itchy watering eyes. And I abhor eye drops though I combat the allergies with allergy pills.
One technique I found by accident. Cleaning my glasses with an eyeglass cleaner helps improve my eye condition. So when I eye itches I spray the glasses and wipe the glasses down. I am guessing there is still a residual effervescence emanating from the glasses that help my eyes. On researching further I found these cleaners are simple alcohol-based solutions containing Isopropanol. In theory, these are irritants by themselves, but in small effervescence quantities, they seem to actually help the eyes clear themselves.
Beats using eye drops. What stories like this do you have? Now I gotta go and wipe my glasses again. Oh, my itchy eyes.
