The deeper I think about life, the more I realize that “Life engineers you” and not the other way around. Even though it feels that we are in control.
As I look back at the key events in my life and my decision-making around those events, the proactive and reactive, the forced and uncoerced, the planned and the unplanned, the wanted and the unwanted; it is more evident that in retrospect these have engineered my life to where I am today. Creating the sum of me and who I am.
So I am now proactively letting life engineer me rather than me engineering life. By going with the flow. By going where the tide takes me. It will be all good in the end. Whatever life wants to count for you is what eventually counts. Nothing more or less. Just that.
