A couple of days ago four of our family members took a 30-minute drive to get to our third dose vaccination. We could not get one nearby so had to drive outside a couple of neighboring suburbs away to get one.
On the wall of the clinic was a sign “Live your best life”. We found the staff and nurses pleasantly different. And they seemed to be exhibiting this message and values.
Within the constraints of a clinical setting and their long hours, coupled with a steady stream of clients visiting them for their vaccine appointment, the staff was jovial, assuring, friendly, polite, confident, and fun in what would be draining and often thankless work to do. It was just so refreshing to see such a positive attitude which made the experience great.
It was a wonderful demonstration of what’s possible with the right set of attitudes that allowed that wonderful team of people to do their work better.
