My name is NiL
I finally found the perfect name, I think...
I don’t like shortening my name. Even to the coffee companies who force personalization on the customers. It is okay and easy for Joe and John, but not for Srikanth. I therefore refuse to shorten my name.
I first started to call myself “DR3C” - short for Dark Roast 3 cream cups. I even tried (Doctor) Dr. 3C. Even that was hard to spell out to the order takers at the counter. So the last time I went to order my coffee in an empty shop, I thought I was “Next in line” NIL for short. There came NIL. It just happened.
I am persisting with this for now. I felt it had a mystique quality to it like the 70’s movie “My Name Is Nobody”
