I met a university colleague of mine who has been an avid coin and philatelic collector for several decades and has had an amazing collection evolve over time. While there I learned a new word - Obverse - and as usual my brain tended to process and read as observe instead.
obverse
noun: obverse; plural noun: obverses
the side of a coin or medal bearing the head or principal design.
the design or inscription on the principal side of a coin.
adjective: obverse
of or denoting the obverse of a coin or medal.
I met him to provide some addition to his collection in terms of Canadian coinage and our newly minted polymer bank notes (courtesy of development credit borrowed from Australia)
The front of the coin often called “heads” is the “obverse” side and the rear of the coin called “tails” is the “reverse” side. Obverse-reverse is the pair that describes the two sides of a coin.
Something new to learn today.

I've been developing a card deck and came across that pairing earlier in the year - so much fun in vocabulary !
