Daily musings #630- Tuesday, 29 November 2022
We put out our lights this week. Or to be more precise the woman folks did and I stood bravely by the sidelines without assisting. What a man!
Last year several houses on the block put up a similar snowman on the street which was a lovely sight and made sense from a holiday perspective and enhanced the spirit of the season. We had put our snowman - but winter was hard on him. He got tossed around in the wind. He got buried in the snow and could not wake up when the timer went on. The ties that bound him to the ground would come off and he would try to run away bouncing in the wind. Poor snowman. It should have been so hard with our Canadian winter.
So this year he decided to be an introvert and peek from the living room window. Looking from here safely at his neighbors and relatives by the side and across the street, while enjoying the heated warmth of the cozy insides of the house.
We are diverse and inclusive, aren’t we? So we are inclusive of an introvertive snowman inside the house. One that does not like the snow. And that is okay too.
