We all persevere. But the best form of perseverance is making it a process. I recently read this quote that triggered this post.
Process goals are completely in your control
“If you want to succeed in any area of your life, “concentrate on what will produce results rather than on the results, focus on the process, not the prize.” — Bill Walsh
In the recent past I have not been writing much, but yet I am back today. That I didn’t write doesn’t mean that I didn’t write at all. I have been writing several articles in my head though none made it here on paper. The intent was there, but not the execution. This begs me to say this…
Perseverance is a process
Outcomes are a process
Success is a process
or can I rewrite it as…
Perseverance is a process
Outcomes might result from perseverance
Success might result from outcomes
Let me expand on it further and delve into deeper details. The only thing truly in our control is the process. If our process lets us keep doing things it helps us persevere. For some, this comes effortlessly. For others, it is a struggle. As we do things outcomes appear. Some are useful, some not. Some valuable some not. And sometimes lucky outcomes happen along the way. And some lead to success. And others not. And sometimes what we already have is a success though we fail to recognize it as such in our search for something more.
