Just a couple of weeks ago the dandelions were yellow and in bloom everywhere. Now they have metamorphosed, grown about half a foot tall, and become white, soft, and fluffy. Ready to break away with their feathery ball structures and fly away with the wind in all directions and propagate themselves to rule the world. And proactively for the next cycle in preparation for next year again. Survival and evolution in action in its wonderful glory.
In some areas though, the rabbits were in full force munching away the juicy dandelions. I am guessing that they were a tasty enjoyable dish for them to consume. But not enough to decimate them except in a few small patchy areas. Fulfilling a bit of their own destiny.
Such is the circle of life. The wonders and miracles of self-engineering systems that we see all around us. And that is true of us too. The miracle of our life is a wonder of engineering. Autopoiesis. If only we pause enough to consider how lucky each one of us is, just to be there, exist, and be whoever we uniquely are.
