There are walks and then there are walks. We end up walking different walks with various people in life. Some walks are lifelong. Some are enduring. Some walks make meaning. Some not so much. Some walks such as work we associate meaning but there is not so much when looking back.
There are different walks. Short walks and medium years of walks at work. Then life takes us in different directions. Some walks are multi-generational. The strides and steps are different, yet we sustain them. Some walks with elders have ended but these walks still sustain in memories made. There are walks with family and friends. Some have sustained. Some have moved on. For reasons known and unknown. And mostly on where life takes us.
Some walks like my children have been fostered on me. I love these walks but realize that I am not doing enough of them to make more of the meaning that I desire. And then there is one person who has walked with me most of my life. To her, I say “Thank you” from the bottom of my heart, and to more walking - with you.
