As I travel in India, one key small thing is a big thing. The tiny mosquito. You have to keep fighting them. And after all the effort I seem to be losing the battle. Night times are the most difficult. Often it starts with killing as many as one sees in the room you are in. But all it takes is one or two that you miss.
Many of my family members use an electrical zapper device to catch them. And it looks like a national pass time. There are several options to stop them but none by itself seem effective.
I have been losing the battle over the last two days. I am fully covered while I sleep but the mosquitoes have been biting my face and my balding scalp which are both not fully covered. And my scalp has been losing the battle badly.
Hopefully, the anti-malarial tablets that I have been taking over the last two weeks will help me face any major side effects from bite-transferred diseases. Anyway, it is time to travel back to Europe today so I am more like a wounded enemy running away from battle.
Mosquitoes 17, me 0.
