Today I am talking about my thoughts on “thoughts”. We “humans” are the only fully cognitive being as a life form. Let’s look at a couple of quotes on it to which summarizes the perspective I look at it from.

The first one is a quote by Yanni, whose music I love.

A single thought

Everything great that has ever happened to humanity has begun as a single thought in someone's mind. And if any one of us is capable of such a thought, then all of us have the same capacity and capability, because we're all the same.

— Yanni Concert's closing comments,

Live at El Morro, Puerto Rico

December 2011

And the second one… is from the Dhammapada…

"The thought manifests as the word;

The word manifests as the deed;

The deed develops into habit;

And habit hardens into character.

So watch the thought and its ways with care,

And let it spring from love,

Born out of compassion for all human beings.

As the shadow follows the body,

As we think, so we become."

- Sayings of the Buddha as cited by Das, 1997 (p. 130) (attributed, one never knows whether this is true)

.

Need I say more? The quotes speak for themselves!
