You need successes first, then you succeed. When you succeed a lot, you thrive. Especially when you are down in the dumps. It is a spiral thing. When life is a collection of downward spirals, one first needs tiny successes. Even within the norms of failures or things that are not really accretive to you.
When I read about how people turn successful (based on whatever they derive success to mean in their contexts) the initial successes are often accidents from either experiments or chances they take or randomly happen to them. It is taking these and running with these and perpetuating them to become an upward spiral of successes stopping the downward trend. Like a stock market, there is never a status quo. If it is not an upward spiral, it is often a downward spiral though the rates of these changes might vary.
The reason that I write this is that I am trying to find my successes. My little successes that will allow me to succeed and ultimately thrive - again based on the definitions of what these mean to me.
So I shall get going, to see whether I get some small successes today…
