I refused to cut a cake for my birthday yesterday. But that was because I had a master plan to eat cake today. It so happened that today is the day that my wife and I cross a billion seconds together since formally hitching up. So, my daughters help plan a surprise party today to celebrate just that.
As you can see I love to rebel against the standard gregorian calendar patterns and find opportunities that break known patterns to create new patterns that normally one does not look for. This breaks the monotony and leads to novelty in our life.
A Billion seconds with my spouse is a significant milestone for us, something that can’t be scoffed at. It is easy for someone to keep count of their own personal life events. It becomes more cherishable when you have a partner to walk your life alongside you and make this journey even more worthwhile. Thanks, honey. And if we do make it to 2 billion seconds together this lifetime, we will be both well into our 80’s.
As I said yesterday, life has been good to me. And finding opportunities to celebrate it as often as one can make it that much better. And yes, you also get to eat cake!
And my next opportunity to celebrate is March 4th of this year, which comes soon enough.
