The Cherry blossom connection

Just a couple of days ago I was reminicing about GEICO and Gecko’s and Washington DC trigged by Wordle of all things. These trail of thoughts continue as the Cherry Blossoms are in bloom in Burlington where I live.
The City of Burlington is fortunate to have twinning agreements with the City of Itabashi, Japan and the City of Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. And these Cherry Blossoms have been donated to us by Itabashi.
Washington DC too is very well known for its Cherry Blossom festival. And over the years I have visited the DC blooms several times both personally during my time at GEICO and while visiting DC with my family from here in Canada and also while we used to live in New Jersey in 2004-2005. Therefore, these flowers bring strong memories of these yester years. And always of the good kind.
